Ms. Lee is the Site Supervisor as well as English circle time teacher. She has worked in education for over 20 years, spanning multiple grade levels, subjects, and roles. However, it was her time teaching in Taiwan that solidified her interest in child development and second language acquisition. Ms. Lee holds a MLIS, a Master of Education, and an Early Childhood Program Director permit. Ms. Lee strongly believes in the importance of active, open-ended, and creative play in the intellectual, social, and emotional development of young children.
Ms. Lo is in charge of handling the Center’s finances and bookkeeping. Prior to joining LACS Children’s Center, Ms. Lo taught art to K-2nd grade students at an afterschool program for three years. It was from her experience there that she became interested in working with children. Ms. Lo is also qualified to work with the children in the classrooms as a teacher's assistant. You will often see her helping to supervise the children in the playground or classrooms.
Ms. Chuang is the lead teacher in the 4's class. She holds a Credential for Early Childhood Education from AMS (American Montessori Society). She previously worked at a bilingual Montessori school and has more than 10 years of extensive hands-on teaching experience, with a focus on bilingual Chinese and English learning. Ms. Chuang is especially passionate about nurturing young children’s Chinese language skills through immersive and engaging activities.
Ms. Leung is our floater TA (teacher's assistant). She has over 20 years of experience teaching different age groups from infant to school age children. Her experience working with children began with toddlers and preschoolers in a play-based environment. She's also worked with transitional kindergarten and kindergarten-age children in a Montessori environment.
Ms. Zhang is the lead teacher in the 3's class. She has worked in universities in China for 15 years and holds a Mandarin proficiency certificate as well as a teaching certification. Additionally, she has studied and worked in early childhood education in the United States. Ms. Zhang focuses on creating an immersive environment for learning Chinese by using stories, classical Chinese poems, and children's songs, encouraging three-year-olds to speak Chinese confidently and proficiently. Early childhood education is crucial for a child's lifelong development, and Ms. Zhang hopes to use her expertise and experience to help every child build a solid foundation for their future growth.
